Toshiba Satellite L-series laptop

Recently Toshiba had launched new Satellite laptops under the A, M, U, and P series. Now, Toshiba has come up with four new laptop models under the entry level Satellite L-series brand. These new models are supposed to be budget friendly while providing the necessary mix of style, features, and performance.

Ron Smith, vice president of marketing of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division, said that “In this new economy, consumers are demanding more choice, We’ve expanded our entry level laptop line, adding more screen size options, new features and brought in our Fusion Finish to give the line a fantastic new look. It’s a great example of Toshiba’s ability to meet the market’s demands with solid, high-quality products that exemplify our commitment to value and innovation.”

The Satellite L Series consists of four new models: the lightweight 14-inch Satellite L510/L515, the versatile 15.6- and 16-inch Satellite L500/L505 and the larger 17.3-inch Satellite L550/L555 desktop replacement. The new laptops are equipped with new features and the latest technology like:

·         New High Definition display (16:9, 720p)

·         Fusion finish with breeze pattern in a graphite color

·         Toshiba PC Health Monitor

·         Toshiba power-saving Eco-utility

·         Ten-key keypad (only on models with 15.6-inch and larger displays)

·         Discreet graphics provided by ATI Radeon 3100 GPU (on select models)

·         USB sleep and charge

The users have a choice between AMD Athlon, AMD Turion, Intel Pentium, or Intel Core 2 Duo processors. The minimum amount of RAM is 2GB and minimum storage space is 250GBHDD. All new Toshiba laptops are RoHS-compatible that means they effectively help in reducing the environmental impact by restricting the use of lead, mercury and certain other hazardous substances. Moreover, the packaging used is also made up of 90 percent recyclable materials. All models of the Satellite L510/L515 and Satellite L550/L555 also include mercury-free LED displays.

As far as pricing is concerned the Satellite L500/L505 starts at $549.99, the Satellite L510/L515 starts at $649.99 and the Satellite L550/L555 starts at $649.99.
